Mancunians are rightly proud of Manchester Town Hall.
Manchester Town Hall is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city providing a decadent, historical setting for any event.
It is regarded as one of the finest examples of neo-Gothic architecture in the United Kingdom. It contains many grand ceremonial rooms, such as the Great Hall, which is decorated with murals by Ford Madox Brown that illustrate the history of the city.
Right in the heart of Manchester on the beautiful Albert Square, it is a photographer’s dream. If the weather is a bit Mancunian, the Town Hall itself is full of stone arches, beautiful winding staircases, statues and busts and velvet drapes. Every corridor is steeped in history. Nooks and crannies and hidden seating areas. Look out for the emblem of Manchester, the worker bee, incorporated into the architecture. Once you spot it, you will see it EVERYWHERE!
Outside the town hall is just as magnificent. The iconic clock tower dominates Albert Square. There are graceful columns, arches and monuments to make your wedding images fabulous.
The stairs and arch of the Manchester Town Hall entrance is the perfect place for a confetti shot or guest pictures. Even in the rain, it is sheltered enough so that you and your guests can remain dry and only I get wet. 🙂
Get married in November or December and you can incorporate the hustle and bustle of the Christmas markets into your wedding photos. Whilst in January Albert Square is transformed for Chinese New Year with red lanterns festooned through the trees.
